Cupcake challenge 64
It’s been a while since I took part in any challenges but I will try and do more of them. This one is for the Cupcake Craft Challenge blog.
http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com/
Here is the sketch

and here is my card.

I spritzed the cuttlebug panel with Cosmic Shimmer spray and added some peel-offs. It looks nice and shimmery in RL.
Cut Companions stocking stamp. Cute Companions backing paper. Cosmic Shimmer spray. Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. Pro-markers.
Not sure……………
Where the time has gone but I must start blogging more. I have made a few cards but not scanned them before I sent them so I must remember to do that as well with all my cards.

I also used my new Martha Stewart punches and a lady stamp that I have used many times. I cannot remember who made the lady stamp I must have a look and let you know. She is coloured with Pro-markers and the back ground paper is from Joanna Sheens The Royal Horticultural Society CD’s.

Quick cards
Well not much time for crafting but I did make a few cards with some of the kits I have sitting in the cupboard. Why I keep buying them I don’t know. Well they seemed like a good idea at the time. LOL Here are a few.

I like this one. I printed a background from the Artylicious Christmas CD directly onto the card, used a nestabilities curved rectangles die to cut the mirri card and mounted the topper onto it. I did not have a ribbon to match so I used a dark blue one and placed a white one over the top and it is almost the same colour as the mirri card.

A slider card using Billy Patchwork Christmas set.

A shaker card from the Christmas Patchwork Pals.

Another one of the Kanban toppers from last years Christmas kit on QVC.
My new Cute Companions Winters Tale kit has arrived so hopefully I will be showing you something made from that soon.

Here is Amy’s sketch.
and here is my card

This is one of my favourite Sarah Kay stamps and I used it a lot last year. It was not until I had finished colouring her with Lyra crayons that I decided to use pink card and I like it, I may make a few more pink cards for Christmas this year.
I used the pop up snowflake punch again but just cut them out instead of having them as pop up snowflakes.

and like the last card I cut out the stamped image and put her on a cuttlebuged background.

Souffle Duck
Another challenge, I do like these challenges. This one is for the Crafters Companion blog.
http://itsacrafterscompanion.blogspot.com/
Here is the sketch

There is also a theme, the card is to be for a child/teenager/young adult. I have a friend who’s granddaughter is mad about Souffle duck so I have made a card with her in mind.
Here is my card

I stamped and coloured Souffle with Lyra watercolour crayons. It was impossible to cut out the string without leaving white areas, I do not like white areas so I cut off the string and label. Re-stamped the string and tag onto the orange paper used for the circle background and cut it out, glued the white tag on top ot the orange tag. That way when I attached him to the circle there are no white areas. If I had not cuttlebuged the circle I could just have stamped onto the circle but I wanted the texture behind him.

I also coloured the edge of the cuttlebugged circle with brown ink for a bit of definition.

Swirly Bird
Another sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday
http://www.sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.com/

This week they also added a colour challenge using the sketch

You can use similar colours so hopefully my card is OK.
Here it is.
The bird is stamped with Pearlescent Orchid Brilliance ink

Only a dash of orange but it is there

On the background paper and the vertical strip I used swirl stamps and Moulin Rouge Palette ink.

Snowflake Santa
I love this stamp and have the wood mounted one then I saw some clear stamp sets with different size santa’s. Here is the smallest one

I also use a new snowflake punch I brought last week, it does not punch out the snowflake completely but makes it ‘pop-up’. It’s great I can see me using it a lot on my Christmas cards this year. Here are the snowflakes

I punched three on the main piece of white card and then punched and cut out four more and added a little gem to the centre of each of them.

I added a clear gloss to the lenses of Santa’s glasses but unfortunately the scan does not show it very well but you can see the glitter I added. I did not want to colour Santa but did add blue to his eyes.
The Santa Stamp is from Habico. Curved Rectangle nestabilities. Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder. EK Success Pop-up Snowflake.
